Clouds of knotted sound
Both a nod to the trance DJ but it’s also an investigation of the essence of sound and space. The sound installation consists of two sound bowls. Because the two different sine waves are dueling with each other it creates nodes in the sound field that are audible and visible. These resonance areas can be observed in space by walking around the installation and can be observed with your ears. The visibility of the sound is created by the vibration patterns of the water in the bowls. The installation creates a sculpture of sound.
